[Update 3] Accounts are open again - please complete the wallet security setup after signing in
Sign-in and wallet features, paused since the 24 October incident, reopened on the evening of 25 October.
Thank you for your patience, and once again we sincerely apologize.
- Sign-in and wallet features reopened on the evening of 25 October. Your wallet now opens only with your passkey or security password.
- Protected accounts create a new wallet at sign-in; devices, NFTs and reward records move automatically and Wellbian covers activation. Other simple-wallet accounts complete the security upgrade once.
- Keep your recovery phrase on paper. If it is lost, Wellbian cannot recover it. Wellbian never asks for your recovery phrase, seed or password.
- Claims, payments and NFT issuance stay paused a little longer until the review ends. Accrued rewards are paid unchanged, and lost assets are restored in kind.
What has changed
Wellbian's servers no longer hold the key that opens your wallet.
Your wallet now opens only with your passkey (fingerprint, face or screen lock) or your security password.
Even if Wellbian's servers were breached, or a staff member tried, your wallet cannot be opened.
What happens after you sign in
1. Accounts protected after the incident: you will see a screen to create a new wallet that only you can open. Write the 12-word recovery phrase on paper, then register a passkey or security password. Your devices, NFTs and reward records move to the new wallet automatically, and Wellbian covers its activation cost (2 XRP).
2. Other simple-wallet accounts: your wallet address stays the same; you only complete the security upgrade once. You must finish it to keep using the service.
3. Members who sign in with an external wallet (Xaman, D'CENT, etc.): nothing changes for you.
Please keep in mind
The recovery phrase (or recovery key) is the only way to recover your wallet if you lose both your passkey and password. Keep it on paper, not in photos, messengers or note apps. If it is lost, Wellbian cannot recover it for you.
Wellbian will never ask for your recovery phrase, seed or password. Any message asking for them is an impersonation.
Not open yet
Reward claims, payments and NFT issuance remain paused until the security review is complete. Rewards accrued in the meantime will be paid with no change to the amounts.
If you moved to a new wallet, your NFTs show as 'Reissue pending' on My Page. They will be reissued to the new wallet once the review is complete; nothing to do on your side.
Lost assets will be restored in kind and in the same quantity, as announced. The schedule will follow in our next update.
